Holzburg is part of the municipality of Ried in the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg . The church village is about two and a half kilometers northeast of Ried and can be reached via the AIC 16 district road .

The independent municipality of Eismannsberg was incorporated into Ried with the district of Holzburg on May 1, 1978.
