Baindlkirch is a parish village and part of the municipality Ried in the district of Aichach-Friedberg in the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria . The district also includes the hamlet of Glon and the deserted areas of Mooshaus , Rettenbach and Riedhof . Baindlkirch is known for the Thursday white sausage meal, which is why hundreds of people from all over southern Germany flock to the village.

location

Baindlkirch is about three kilometers east of Ried. The Riedhof is one kilometer north, Rettenbach one kilometer northeast, the Mooshaus exactly between the Riedhof and Rettenbach and Glon one kilometer southeast of Baindlkirch.

history

Until July 1, 1972, the independent municipality of Baindlkirch with its districts Baindlkirch, Glon , Rettenbach and Riedhof belonged to the Friedberg district , which then merged into the newly founded Aichach-Friedberg district. On May 1, 1978 it was incorporated into the municipality of Ried as part of the regional reform in Bavaria with all districts. At the census on May 27, 1970, the former community had 318 inhabitants, the main town had 262 inhabitants. As of October 1, 2013, the population in the districts of the former municipality was 744. Until 1944, the Friedberg district and thus also the Baindlkirch community belonged to the Upper Bavaria district.

The Catholic parish of Sankt Martin in Baindlkirch belongs to the deanery Aichach-Friedberg in the diocese of Augsburg. The parish includes the Maria Hilf branch in Holzburg and the villages of Asbach , Eismannsberg , Glon, Mooshaus, Rettenbach, Riedhof, Tegernbach and Vogach .

The very short district road AIC 15 runs through Baindlkirch from northwest to southeast, branches off from AIC 14 one and a half kilometers west of Baindlkirch and ends in Baindlkirch after just two kilometers.
