action

Homer learns of a television technician who can illegally get him cable TV for little money and immediately seizes the opportunity. The new channels provide entertainment for the whole family, but then Bart and Lisa learn all about Hell in Sunday School and learn that if you follow the Ten Commandments , you can avoid it . While Bart doesn't care about the matter at all, Lisa has a guilty conscience because her father breaks the eighth commandment with the cable theft. Only Marge takes Lisa's fears seriously, while Homer invites all of his colleagues to a boxing match that is only broadcast on cable TV. In the end, however, he remembers his duty as a father and so the family waits in front of the house while the guests watch the boxing match inside. Then Homer cuts the cable with his own hands (but also causes a power failure in the entire neighborhood).

  2. Note: With regard to the division of the Ten Commandments, the episode obviously follows the Jewish , Free Church , Reformed , Adventist and Orthodox tradition, because according to the Lutheran and Catholic division, “you shall not steal” would be the 7th commandment and “you shall have your father and yours Mother honor “the 4th commandment (according to the episode it is the 5th, which also corresponds to the traditions mentioned).
