Homewreckers

The Homewreckers are a production team consisting of Johannes Ehmann, Gregor Pottmeier and Krischan Wesenberg.

Career

1995 appeared under the project name Broccoli Brothers the first single Ruhrschnellweg / Catch It on the label Thee Blak Label / Radikal Fear by DJ Felix Da Housecat . The title can also be found on the mix CDs of Laurent Garnier ("Laboratoire Mix") and DJ Armando ("The Chicago All Stars"). The video for "Ruhrschnellweg" (director: Marcus Vila Richter) was shown as a music video in 1999 at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival .

In 1996 the EP So Many Tongues (Radikal Fear), produced together with Marshall Jefferson and Harrison Crump , followed . In 2000 the Homewreckers switched to Groove Attack Productions in Cologne , where they released the EPs When The Weekend Comes and Nobody Loves You (When You're Down And Out) . The Homewreckers remix of They Can´t See Me by rapper J. Rawls from Columbus , Ohio became a club hit in the USA and is included on DJ Dixon Off Limits 3's mix CD .

The Homewreckers' debut album, American Ruhr , was recorded in a former pump room in the center of Gelsenkirchen and was released in October 2008 on Unique Records in Düsseldorf . The cover design is by Cory Arcangel (NYC), the liner notes by Kodwo Eshun . In 2010 the 12 " Not My Business" followed on the Paris label Circus Company.
