Hor was an ancient Egyptian " upper asset manager " who was in office in the first decade of Sesostris I's reign and thus also in the last decade of Amenemhet I (both ruled together for 10 years).

Hor is known from two groups of objects. He had a chapel in Abydos , from which various steles originate and he led an expedition to Wadi el-Hudi , where he erected a stele on which he reported on his expedition. This stele is dated under Sesostris I (but only with the king's name, not with a date) and tells how Hor mined amethyst for the king. One of the Abydos steles is dated to the year 9 by Sesostris I and is now in the Louvre (C 2). It passes on his longest title, which includes titles such as “ Member of the elite ”, “ Foremost in action ”, “ Royal sealer ”, “ Only friend ”, but also “ Priest of the Month, Lord of Thebes ” and “ Head of the gate guard ”. He was also the " priest overseer " at the temple of the Amenemhet I pyramid

His mother was called Senet, his father's name has not been passed down.
