The Horlick Ice Stream is a large ice stream in Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica . In the structureless north of the main massif of the Horlick Mountains, it flows parallel to these in a west-southwest direction to the lower section of the Reedy Glacier .
The area was mapped by the United States Geological Survey and United States Navy aerial photographs from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1967 in connection with the Horlick Mountains after the entrepreneur William Horlick (1846-1936), a sponsor of the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
