Horsham is a city of about 16,000 people in the Australian state of Victoria . Horsham is located 300 kilometers northwest of Melbourne and is the seat of the Administrative Region (LGA) Rural City of Horsham . It is located at the intersection of the Western , Wimmera and Henty Highway northwest of the famous Grampians National Park .

Horsham was founded in the late 1840s. The first settlers were James Monckton Darlot and Charles Carter. The first post office opened on July 1, 1848.

In 2001 Horsham was voted the cleanest city in Australia .
