Horst-Dieter Fischer

Horst-Dieter Fischer (born December 5, 1943 in Aue ; † February 18, 2020 in Bosau ) was a German ministerial official and politician ( SPD ). From 1991 to 2000 he was district administrator of the Ostholstein district and from 2001 to 2010 State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

After graduating from high school in Kiel in 1963 , Fischer completed an apprenticeship as general high-level administrative service with the state of Schleswig-Holstein, which he completed in 1966. He then worked in the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of the Interior until 1991 , most recently as head of the ministerial office. During his civil service career, he rose to the higher service.

Fischer moved to Bosau in the early 1990s . From July 11, 1991 to December 31, 2000 he was district administrator of the Ostholstein district. On January 1, 2001, he was appointed State Secretary to the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Social Affairs and held this position until he retired in 2010. He was also a member of the supervisory board of the Schleswig-Holstein University Hospital and a member of the administrative board of the Schleswig-Holstein Investment Bank .

In addition to his political and administrative tasks, Fischer dealt with the blues . He supported the Eutin Blues Festival and was a board member of the Baltic Blues eV until 2013
