Horst Buszello

Horst Buszello (born April 3, 1940 in Friedrichsfeld ) is a German historian .

Horst Buszello studied history, politics and literature in Heidelberg and Berlin. In 1967 he received his doctorate at the Technical University of Berlin with the thesis The German Peasants' War of 1525 as a political movement . Buszello was a research assistant and academic advisor at the TU Berlin and the University of Mannheim . Since 1973 he has taught as a lecturer and since 1977 as a professor of history (early modern times) and history didactics at the Freiburg University of Education . The Pedagogical Academy in Krakow awarded him an honorary doctorate . His main research interests are the history of the early modern period, the history of the Upper Rhine region, Europe and European integration, as well as history didactics. In the 1980s he worked on the history book Geschichte und Gegenwart, published by Hans Ulrich Rudolf and Edgar Walter .
