Horst Dieter Sievers

Horst Dieter Sievers (born August 5, 1928 in Hamburg ) is a German stage, film and television actor .

Sievers received artistic training in his hometown around 1950 and began his career in 1951 at the young theater there , which he had co-founded. The following year he went to the Westphalian State Theater in Castrop-Rauxel, and in 1953 he moved on to Neuss, where he played four seasons at the local Rhineland State Theater . From 1957 to 1959 Sievers was a member of the ensemble of the Dortmund Municipal Theaters , then at the Braunschweig State Theater and finally at the Wuppertal Theaters .

During the first ten years of his artistic stage work, Horst Dieters Sievers played Malcolm in Shakespeare's “ Macbeth ”, Dagoult in Lengyel's “ Ninotschka ” and Almansor in Heine's “ Am End die Liebe ”. Since the late 1950s, Sievers has also stood in front of film and especially television cameras. Here he was seen in a number of medium-sized roles in productions until the mid-1970s, most of which were made in his hometown of Hamburg. After 1976 Sievers was hardly active as a television actor and concentrated again on his work on the stage. Artistic director Boy Gobert brought him back to the Thalia Theater , which he ran, and took Sievers with him to the state theaters when Gobert was committed to Berlin.

Today Horst Dieter Sievers lives again in his hometown Hamburg.
