Horst Freiberger (born December 28, 1985 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player on the position of a striker .

Career

Freiberger began his career in the youth team of SK Rapid Vienna . In 1999 he moved to VfB Admira Wacker Mödling as a youth , from whom he came to the first team of ASV 13 in Vienna and earned his first spurs in the lower league A. Via ASV 13, he moved to First Vienna FC in 2003 , where he was active for two years.

In 2005 he returned to Rapid and played with the amateurs until 2008. During this time Freiberger was also part of the professional squad of the Hütteldorfer and acted on July 14, 2007 at the UI Cup away game at Slovan Bratislava as a substitute. After that Freiberger was without a club for half a year. In January 2009, SV Ried and SCR Altach knocked first , and he also completed a trial training session with the German third division club FC Erzgebirge Aue . Ultimately, the striker decided on Vorarlberg .

Freiberger made his debut in the top Austrian league on March 10, 2009 against LASK Linz . He came on in the 84th minute for Dursun Karatay . The game ended 1-1. In the summer of 2009, the striker trained with the Scottish club Hamilton Academical and then completed several test training sessions with the Scottish Premier League club Heart of Midlothian . Finally, Freiberger moved to FC Pasching in the Regionalliga Mitte for the 2009/10 season . The Viennese then returned to his hometown and from summer 2010 played for FAC Team for Vienna in the Regionalliga Ost. By the winter break, Freiberger had scored 6 goals (including the cup), leading the club's internal shooting list. During the winter break, however, there was a separation due to disagreements with the club management. Within the league, Freiberger moved to SV Schwechat , where he had to contend with a shoulder injury and only made three appearances by the end of the season. In the summer of 2011, Freiberger started the new season, recovered.

Freiberger's other positions included a. SC Ritzing , SC Wiener Viktoria and SV Würmla . Freiberger is currently playing in the 2nd class Traisental at 1. SV Maria Anzbach .

Horst Freiberger is the great-grandson of the former Austrian national soccer player Johann Ostermann . Freiberger had some appearances as a model in the ATV telecast Hi Society , he tested in, among other new products. The striker also plays in the music video for the song "Say it simply" by the Styrian pop duo Luttenberger * Klug . Freiberger also founded the Freiberger Athletic Sport Team (FASTeam for short), which has set itself the task of supporting professional athletes and health-conscious people in the fitness area.

His brother Robin Freiberger is also a soccer player.
