Horst Huebbers

Horst Huebbers (born July 14, 1940 in Düsseldorf ) is a German ice hockey player . Fans and friends call him Selle or Hotti .

Career

The nine-year-old Hübbers was discovered in the winter of 1949 while playing ice hockey on the frozen Düssel, right next to the ice rink on Brehmstrasse. In the 1949/50 season he joined the ice hockey department of the Düsseldorfer EG , where he was trained as a professional. Initially, Hübbers learned the storm game, but switched to defense in later years. As an all-round player, he could therefore be used in various positions.

Hübbers was a member of DEG from 1949/50 to 1966/1967. During this time he trained and played under the guidance of the following ice hockey coaches:

After 1967, Hübbers played for 1.5 years at Cologne EK (Oberliga / Trainer Xaver Unsinn ) and moved again to KTSV Preussen Krefeld (Bundesliga / Trainer Walter Kremershoff). In 1972 he finished his ice hockey career.
