Johannes "Hans" Rampf (born February 2, 1931 in Bad Tölz ; † May 5, 2001 in Murnau am Staffelsee ) was a German ice hockey player and both player and coach of the German national team .
Life
He began his career in 1948 at EC Bad Tölz , for which he played a total of 640 games. In the 1961/1962 season he was a player- coach with his team German champions . In the 1964/65 season he was a player and coach at the same time for the last time, because after that he devoted himself entirely to coaching. This was followed by the stations Düsseldorfer EG 1965 to 1969 (with them he became German champion 1967), 1969 to 1971 SC Riessersee , in the season 1971/72 Augsburger EV , from 1972 to 1975 EC Bad Tölz, 1975 to 1977 and again 1981 to 1992 junior national coach (in between briefly at EV Landshut and Düsseldorfer EG) and from 1977 to 1981 national coach .
Internationally, he played 101 international matches for the German national team, in which he scored 18 goals. He took part in two Olympic Games ( 1956 , 1960 ) and nine ice hockey world championships . His greatest international success was the silver medal at the 1953 Ice Hockey World Championship .
For his services he was honored with the admission into the Hall of Fame Germany and the IIHF Hall of Fame .
