Horst Kubatschka (born June 10, 1941 in Bielitz ) is a German SPD politician and former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After secondary school, Horst Kubatschka did an industrial internship and studied chemistry at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences . He did his military service and finished it as a lieutenant colonel in the reserve. In 1964 he worked for the government of Lower Bavaria and in 1978 took over the Landshut water management office as laboratory manager . He is married and has three children.

In addition to his political party work, he is socially active at Ver.di , the Bund Naturschutz , the German Alpine Association , the Workers' Welfare Association , the Diakonisches Werk and the Child Protection Association.

Horst Kubatschka became a member of the SPD in 1959 and was active in various functions with the Young Socialists . Within the party he is chairman of the Landshut subdistrict . From 1994 to 1996 he was chairman of the SPD district association in Lower Bavaria .

At the municipal level , he is the chairman of the Landshut / Kelheim federal constituency conference . From 1972 to 1996 he was a city ​​councilor in Landshut.

From December 20, 1990, he was a member of the German Bundestag for four terms , to which he was elected via the state list of the SPD in Bavaria . Among other things, he held the position of deputy chairman of the study commission on culture in Germany . He did not run for the election of the German Bundestag on September 18, 2005.
