Horst Sielaff

Horst Sielaff (born February 7, 1937 in Stettin ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

In 1955 Sielaff graduated from a secondary school with a secondary school leaving certificate. From 1955 to 1959 he did a deacon training in the Stephansstift Hannover, 1971 followed a parish deacon examination in the Protestant church of the Palatinate . From 1959 to 1962 he was a parish deacon , from 1962 to 1971 city or dean's youth warden , from 1971 to 1973 parish office . From 1973 to 1980 he worked as a religion teacher at vocational schools . From 1982 to 1994 he was federal chairman of the Central Association of Central and East Germans, he was also deputy chairman of the board of directors of the Association for Germans Abroad .

In 1968 Sielaff joined the SPD. From 1969 to 1972 he was a district board member of the Young Socialists , and in 1972 he became a member of the district board of the Palatinate SPD. From 1969 to 1984 he was a member of the Frankenthal City Council. He was spokesman for the SPD in the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry. From 1980 to 1998 Sielaff sat in the German Bundestag . He was directly elected in the Frankenthal constituency.
