Horst Trageiser

Horst Josef Trageiser (born February 17, 1937 ) is a former German Republican politician . He was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 1992 to 1996.

Life

Trageiser, born in the Danube Swabian, studied mathematics and physics and then worked as a sales engineer and marketing manager.

Trageiser was Secretary General of the Republicans in Bonn from 1990 to 1991 , after which he was State Press Spokesman for the Republicans in Baden-Württemberg . From 1989 to 1992 he was a member of the municipal council of the state capital Stuttgart , where he belonged to the economic committee, and he was also the managing director of his parliamentary group.

In the state elections in 1992 he ran in the constituency of Stuttgart III and received 15.2 percent of the vote, whereby he moved into the state parliament via a second mandate. There he was deputy parliamentary group chairman and was a full member of the Finance Committee and a deputy member of other committees.

In the state parliament, Trageiser was considered an opponent of the parliamentary group leader Rolf Schlierer .

In 1994 he ran in the European elections at number 4 on the federal list of Republicans, but the party missed the 5 percent hurdle. In the same year he was a member of the 10th Federal Assembly .

In May 1995, Trageiser was attacked by youths while he was at a party's information desk. He then had to be hospitalized with a suspected broken nose.

After the state elections in 1996 , he resigned from the state parliament and withdrew from politics.
