Horst Wupper

Horst Wupper (born April 30, 1939 in Bochum ) is a German electrical engineer and university professor .

Life

After graduating from high school (1958 Graf Engelbert School in Bochum), he studied electrical engineering with a focus on communications engineering at RWTH Aachen University (diploma 1964). From 1964 to 1967 he worked as the head of a development group in a company for telecommunications measuring devices in Eningen under Achalm . From 1967 to 1976 he was a research assistant or chief engineer with Professor Alfred Fettweis at the chair for communications engineering at the Ruhr University in Bochum . After receiving his doctorate in 1971 as a Dr.-Ing. in Bochum and his habilitation in 1975 there he became a professor at the Ruhr University Bochum in 1976 and a full professor at the Distance University in Hagen in 1979 ( prorector 1980–1986, 1990–1993). He has been retired since 2004 .
