Horváth & Partners is an international management consultancy with over 1,000 employees and most recently around EUR 177 million in sales. The company was founded in Stuttgart in 1981 and has offices in Austria , Romania , Switzerland , Hungary , Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates .

history

The management consultancy was founded in October 1981 by the university professors Péter Horváth and Erich Zahn and the entrepreneur Hans-Georg Winderlich as the IFUA Institute for Business Analysis .

At the end of the 1980s, Horváth students and former doctoral students joined the company, who subsequently played a key role in setting up the advisory group. After the death of Hans-Georg Winderlich and the departure of Erich Zahn, the company was continued in 1989 as IFUA Horváth & Partner GmbH .

In the 1990s the organization grew into an international advisory group with offices in Budapest (1990) and Vienna (1994), among others . Zurich (2000), Bucharest (2005).

Together with his partners, Péter Horváth drove the development of new controlling methods ( e.g. process costing and further development of the target costing approach as well as the use of control instruments) in the company. In the mid-1990s, Horváth & Partners brought the concept of the balanced scorecard to Europe.

The company reorganized itself in 2000: Horváth AG was founded as a holding company for the Horváth & Partners group, and topics and industry expertise were bundled in competence centers . Péter Horváth took over the chairmanship of the supervisory board. Since then, the management of the corporate group and the national companies has been in the hands of the newly created board of directors and the partners. In 2008, the company hired its 400th employee, and group sales exceeded 100 million euros for the first time. In 2013 Horváth & Partners employed over 500 people for the first time.

Horváth Academy

The Horváth Academy is the company's own educational institution. She specializes in market and results-oriented corporate management and conducts seminars and conferences as open events and as in-house trainings. Electronic forms of learning are also offered. Since January 2013 the academy has been headed by Ronald Gleich .
