Hosby (German Hosbi , Estonian Swedish Hosbe ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Vormsi ( Vormsi vald ) in Lääne County . The place is in the southeast of the fourth largest Estonian island Vormsi (German Worms , Swedish Ormsö ).

The place was built on the site of the former Söderby manor , directly on the Baltic Sea coast .

Hosby has no residents today (as of December 31, 2011). Like all Vormsis villages, the place was mostly populated by Estonian Swedes until the Second World War .

Between Hosby and the village of Sviby there is a large boulder , the Skärestein . It has a circumference of 22 meters and a height of 3.4 meters. The stone has been under nature protection since 1941.
