The hotel nhow Berlin is a hotel on Stralauer Allee in Berlin-Friedrichshain . It bills itself as the first "Music Hotel" in Europe and classified , according to berlin.de as a 5-star hotel.
The hotel belongs to one of several Berlin hotels belonging to the Spanish NH Hotel Group and was completed in November 2010. Nhow is located at the Osthafen on the banks of the Spree and around 300 meters from the Warschauer Straße tram and underground station . On 21,500 m², the seven-storey hotel houses 304 rooms designed by New York designer Karim Rashid and an additional 12 event rooms . The hotel has u. a. a spa area. The outer facade consists of a highly reflective aluminum cladding, all-glass and polished stainless steel; the specialist lexicon Baunetz Wissen emphasizes the insulation system. Berlin architect Sergei Tchoban (NPS Tchoban Voss) was responsible for planning the house .
The media offer ranges from iPod connections to guitar room service to in-house recording studios . Universal Music Publishing opened its own in-house recording studio in 2016.
In 2016, the German Songwriting Awards were presented at the nhow hotel .
