House Peters senior
House Peters senior (born March 12, 1880 in Bristol , England , † December 7, 1967 in Woodland Hills , Los Angeles , California ) was a British - American actor .
life and career
Born in Britain, he traveled the world as a young man and also fought as a soldier in the Second Boer War before turning to acting. During the silent film era, House Peters became famous as a Hollywood actor, nicknamed the Star of a Thousand Emotions . He was mostly used in roles as a romantic lover. With the dawn of talkies in the late 1920s, Peters had actually retired from acting, but returned in 1952 for a supporting role as a pastor in the Gene Autry - Western The Old West in front of the camera. Then Peters turned two more films and was in 1961 in the television series The Fisher Family to see.
In 1914 he married the actress Mae King and had four children, including the actor House Peters junior . House Peters received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work as a film actor .
