Howard Winstone
Howard Winstone (* 15. April 1939 in Merthyr Tydfil , Wales , † thirtieth September 2000 ) was a British boxer in the featherweight .
professional
On February 24th in 1959 he made his professional debut against his compatriot Billy Graydon with a unanimous victory over six rounds. In May 1961 he was British champion and in July 1963 European champion .
On 23 January 1968 he boxed against the Japanese Mitsunori Seki for the vacant World Champion belt of the WBC and won in a scheduled 15 round bout in the nine-round technical o K.. He lost that title in July of the following year to José Legrá by TKo and then ended his career.
