software

The Huawei Matebook X Pro comes with Windows 10 Home, the operating system for PCs from Microsoft . The preinstalled “Signature Edition” contains little supplied software, only a PC manager for drivers and synchronization with Huawei smartphones was preinstalled.

The Huawei Matebook X Pro is the first notebook in Huawei's lineup to incorporate the company's FullView design, giving the laptop a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. The display is a 13.9-inch LTPS touchscreen with an aspect ratio of 3: 2. The resolution is 3000 × 2000 at 260 PPI with a claimed viewing angle of 178 degrees and a maximum brightness of 450 nits . The webcam is hidden in a flap between the F6 and F7 keys.

In Germany the notebook is available in three configurations. The base model W19C uses an 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD storage, Intel UHD Graphics 620 and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2048 MB GDDR5 VRAM, while the high- End model W29C with an Intel Core i7 processor of the 8th generation (Intel Core i7-8550U) with 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD storage and also an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 is delivered. The W29A is similarly equipped as the W29C, but has "only" 8 GB RAM.

The Huawei Matebook X Pro received positive reviews.

Dan Seifert from The Verge praised the display, the performance and the design of the laptop and said: "The new MateBook X Pro from Huawei is the best notebook at the moment". He also compares the keyboard Mate Book X Pro with the MacBook Pro from Apple and says: "The keyboard has a small stroke (1.22 mm), but it is not as deep or annoying like the keyboard of a MacBook Pro."
