Hubert Doppmeier

Hubert Doppmeier (born February 19, 1944 in Langenberg ; † March 8, 1992 in Hanover ) was a German politician. He was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1980 to 1990 and then moved into the German Bundestag, of which he was a member until his death.

Life

After primary school, Doppmeier attended vocational school and trained as a plywood specialist. He then self-taught himself the necessary skills that enabled him to graduate from secondary school in 1966 and to graduate from high school two years later. He studied law and political science at the University of Münster and passed the first state examination in law in 1975, followed by the second state examination three years later. From 1979 he worked as a lawyer. He was married to Ursula Doppmeier .

politics

Doppmeier joined the CDU in 1969 and was active in the Junge Union until 1980 . From 1970 to 1975 he was district chairman of the Gütersloh district association of the Junge Union and then until 1980 district chairman of the Junge Union in Ostwestfalen-Lippe. From 1981 he was district chairman of the CDU district association Gütersloh and from 1975 to 1985 a member of the district board of the CDU Ostwestfalen-Lippe, whose district chairman he was from 1985. Doppmeier was a member of the district council in Gütersloh from 1975 to 1979. He then resigned from this and was elected to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. He belonged to the state parliament from May 29, 1980 to May 30, 1990 for two electoral terms, in each of which he was directly elected in constituency 102 Gütersloh I. In December 1990 he was elected directly to the German Bundestag in the Gütersloh constituency, to which he belonged until his death in 1992.
