Ursula Doppmeier (born August 29, 1952 in Hohenlimburg ) is a German secondary school teacher and politician ( CDU ). She was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2000 to 2017 .

Life

Doppmeier graduated from high school in 1971 and then studied English and textile design at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster until 1976 . In 1976 she passed the state examination for teaching at secondary schools. From 1977 until she moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2000, she worked as a secondary school teacher in Gütersloh. She was married to Hubert Doppmeier († 1992). From this marriage there were 4 children.

politics

Doppmeier became a member of the Junge Union in 1975 and has been a member of the CDU since 1976 . After taking care of her family from 1979 to 1992, she became politically active after the sudden death of her husband Hubert Doppmeier . Since 1996 she has been the chairwoman of the women's union in the Gütersloh district . From 1998 to 2002 she was district chairwoman of the women's union in Ostwestfalen-Lippe . She has also been a member of the Christian Democratic Workforce since 1998 . She has been a member of the Gütersloh district council since 1999. From 2002 to 2006 she was chairwoman of the CDU city association in Gütersloh and since 2002 she has been deputy CDU district chairman in Ostwestfalen-Lippe.

In the state elections in 2000 she was elected for the first time in the state constituency of Gütersloh II over 18th place in the state reserve list in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2005 , she won the direct mandate, which she defended in the state elections in 2010 . In the state elections in 2012 , Doppmeier lost her direct mandate, but moved back into the state parliament via the state reserve list.

From 2001 to 2004 she was the spokeswoman for the CDU parliamentary group in the commission “Future of Women's Health Care in North Rhine-Westphalia” and from 2005 to 2014 she was deputy CDU parliamentary group leader in the state parliament and from 2012 in the CDU parliamentary group commissioner for inclusion. She did not run again for the 2017 state election.
