Hubert Filser

Hubert Filser (born May 22, 1959 in Peiting ; † May 22, 2012 ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian and dogmatist .

Life

Hubert Filser studied philosophy at the University of Philosophy in Munich from 1981 to 1986 (Magister Artium 1986, "The question of causa sui with Herman Schell ") and from 1981 to 1987 Catholic theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (Licentiatus theologiae 1987, "Herman Schell's speculative doctrine of the Trinity"). In 1994 he started with Peter Neuner with the thesis “Ecclesiology and Sacraments of Cardinal Johannes Gropper . A doctrine between Irenik and controversial theology in the age of the Reformation. "To Dr. theol. PhD. After studying dogmatics , he completed his habilitation in 2000 with the text "Dogma, Dogmen, Dogmatik". In 1999/2000 he was an assistant at the chair for religious teaching and education.

Since 2000 he has taught dogmatics and the history of dogma at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, since 2006 as an adjunct professor, and at the Universities of Eichstätt, Nuremberg / Erlangen and Kiel.

In addition to numerous scientific works, he published three monographs and two works as co-editor. His habilitation thesis "Dogma, Dogmen, Dogmatik" is considered a standard work. He was particularly committed to ecumenical dialogue.
