Hubert Gaisbauer

Hubert Gaisbauer (born January 22, 1939 in Linz ) is an Austrian author and radio department head .

Life

Hubert Gaisbauer spent his childhood in Hagenberg im Mühlkreis and attended the Episcopal Gymnasium Petrinum in Linz, then studied literature and theater in Vienna.

From 1963 until his retirement in 1999, Gaisbauer worked for Austrian Broadcasting Corporation . After the ORF reform in 1966, he was given responsibility for broadcasting youth programs. Among other things, he was responsible for the legendary " Ö3 Musicbox ". In 1970 he became head of the newly founded department “Society, Youth, Family”. Gaisbauer founded the biography program Menschenbilder in 1984 . From 1989 he was appointed head of the ORF religion department on radio. Gaisbauer wrote two books on Pope John XXIII.
