Hubert Holtmann

Johann Hubert Hermann Holtmann (born May 31, 1864 in Xanten ; † April 17, 1914 in Münster ) was a German architect who lived and worked in Münster.

Life

In 1900, Hubert Holtmann ran an architecture office at Kanalstrasse 8 in Münster. He designed private and public buildings in Münster and Westphalia. His stylistic spectrum ranged from historical projects through Art Nouveau buildings to early modern buildings.

  • 1897: Villa for the textile manufacturer Friedrich Dütting in Nordhorn , Bahnhofstrasse 10
  • 1899: Villa Winkel for the industrialist Anton Laurenz in Ochtrup , Winkelstrasse 1
  • 1899: Renovation of the gable on the Prinzipalmarkt 20 office building in Münster
  • 1899: Renovation of the Prinzipalmarkt 27 office building in Münster (destroyed in the war)
  • 1901: Kurhaus in Rheine
  • 1901: Competition design for the Westphalian Provincial Museum in Münster (purchase, not executed)
  • around 1903: Residential building at Neubrückstrasse 25 in Münster (destroyed in the war)
  • 1904–1906: Old Town Hall in Ahlen , Markt 15 (today adult education center)
  • 1904: Conversion of the Hotel Rautenkranz in Eisenach , today city administration (neo-renaissance)
  • 1906: new tower floor of St. Martini Church in Münster (as reconstruction after fire)
  • 1906: Michaelisplatz 1/2 office building in Münster (destroyed in the war)
  • 1906: Facade design of the administration building of the Osnabrück Chamber of Commerce in Osnabrück , Schlagvorder Straße 17 (destroyed in the war on September 13, 1944)
