Hubert Jurasek
Hubert Jurasek (born May 4, 1920 in Vienna ; † November 24, 2011 ) was an Austrian civil servant , lawyer and resistance fighter against the Nazi regime .
Youth and Studies
After attending the Vienna Piarist High School, Jurasek studied at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna .

As early as May 1938 he was distributing leaflets against the Nazi regime, and after the formation of a "Group Iron" formed by students from the Catholic camp, he was arrested by the Gestapo on July 9, 1938 .
He was first transferred to the Rossauer Lände police prison and then to the Vienna Regional Court prison in early September 1938 , where he was placed in solitary confinement as an "investigative prisoner" at the People's Court .
In November 1939 his case was discontinued due to a pardon, and he himself was drafted into the Wehrmacht .
After the Second World War
After returning from captivity, he continued his studies and in 1946 at the frat K.Ö.St.V. Rudolfina Vienna recipients.
He entered the civil service and ultimately became Vice President of the Austrian Administrative Court (until 1985). Furthermore, he was federal chairman of the ÖVP - comradeship of the politically persecuted . Jurasek died at the age of 91 and was buried at the Vienna Central Cemetery.
