Hubert Patterer

Hubert Patterer (* 1962 in Gailtal ) is an Austrian journalist and since 2006 the editor-in-chief of the “ Kleine Zeitung ”.

Life

Patterer grew up in Kirchbach in Carinthia and attended elementary school in Lienz . Graduated from the University of Klagenfurt with a degree in German and English . He has been working for the Kleine Zeitung since 1984, initially for them in Carinthia and East Tyrol. In 2000 he moved to Graz after Erwin Zankel appointed him deputy editor-in-chief. Patterer has been editor-in-chief of the Kleine Zeitung since 2006.

In 2011, Patterer received the Journalist of the Year award from the industry magazine Der Österreichische Journalist . In 2008, 2010–2012, 2015 and 2016 he was also honored in the Editor-in-Chief of the Year category.
