Huey Gully

Huey Gully is a high-altitude and steep-walled gorge in East Antarctica Victoria Land . On the north face of the Taylor Valley , it lies between Mount Keohane and Mount Falconer . Part of the ice masses of the Commonwealth Glacier lie in this gorge and belong to the headwaters of Huey Creek .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the gorge in 1997 based on the name of the meltwater river of the same name. Its namesake are helicopter type Bell UH-1 , unofficially Huey , the VXE-6 called as part of the squadron to support the work of the United States Geological Survey in Taylor Valley were in use.
