Hugo Arnold

Anton Ferdinand Grnst Hermann Hugo Arnold (born January 11, 1861 in Freising , † 1940 in Munich ) was a German lawyer . He was president of the Bayerische Staatsbank .

Life

He was the son of the Higher Regional Court Appeals Councilor Friedrich Arnold and his wife Elisa nee Rutz. The later Senate President Clemens Arnold (1854–1930) was his older brother.

After high school, Hugo Arnold attended the University of Munich from 1879 , where he studied law until 1883. In 1888 he got a job at the Royal Bank Directorate in Nuremberg . In 1890 he became a government assessor and fiscal adjunkt and 1896 Government appointed. In 1898 Hugo Arnold became a royal bank consultant and in 1911 a senior government councilor.

On May 1, 1919, Hugo Arnold took over the presidency of the Bayerische Staatsbank in Nuremberg as the previous bank consultant . In September 1920 he moved to Munich as bank president, where he retired on January 1, 1928.

He was a member of the supervisory boards of various industrial companies, including Amperwerke Elektricitäts-Aktiengesellschaft .

Hugo Arnold lived with his family at Trautenwolfstrasse 3 in Munich. After his death in 1940 he was buried in the family grave in the north cemetery in Schwabing . The tomb is still preserved.
