Hugo Eichhof
Hugo Eichhof (born October 20, 1888 in Ujest , Groß Strehlitz district ; † June 3, 1977 in Rosenheim ; actually Hugo Gnielczyk ) was a German teacher and local historian .
Career
Eichhof was born as the son of the builder Vinzenz Gnielczyk and Maria Gnielczyk, née Pludzinski. He attended schools in Gliwice , then the teachers' seminar in Ratibor and from 1910 taught in Bratsch, Hohndorf and Leobschütz . In addition, he worked as a district home carer .
In 1945 he came to Bavaria and worked as a district school supervisor in the school inspectorate in the Kötzting district . During this time he collected the legends of the Bavarian Forest . He also took care of the public library system and adult education.
In 1956 he moved to Munich and later to Rosenheim.
