Hugo Gaebler

Hugo Gaebler (born August 21, 1868 in Tarnowitz , Upper Silesia, † March 7, 1947 ) was a German numismatist .

Gaebler was on March 16, 1892 at the University of Leipzig with the dissertation Erythrä. PhD studies on the history and constitution of the city in the age of Hellenism . From 1894 to 1899 he worked as a scientific assistant at the Berlin Münzkabinett , and from 1892 at the Prussian Academy as a permanent employee for the Greek Mint . He was appointed professor on April 30, 1921, and retired on October 1, 1933.
