Hugo II of Lusignan
Hugo II of Lusignan († 967 ), called " the good one " (Latin Carus ), was the second lord of Lusignan and the son of Hugo the hunter . According to the chronicle of Saint-Maixent Abbey , he was the builder of Lusignan Castle , which was first mentioned in a document in 1009.
When he died in 967, his son Hugo III was born. von Lusignan , called " the white one ", his successor.
He possibly had another son named Joscelin († 1015), this is mentioned as uncle Hugo IV, although it is unclear whether he is a brother of Hugo III. or from his wife. Joscelin was lord of Parthenay , was married to a woman named Rosca, and when he died childless in 1015 he bequeathed Hugo IV Vivonne .
