Hugo Kehr
Hugo Martin Kehr (born November 21, 1965 ) is Professor of Psychology at the Technical University of Munich . He holds the chair for psychology at the TUM School of Management .
Life
Hugo M. Kehr studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich Business Administration . There he received his doctorate in psychology in 1997 as “Dr. phil. ”and completed his habilitation in 2001. He then worked as a visiting researcher at the University of California in Berkeley and as a private lecturer at the University of Marburg and the LMU. From 2004 onwards, Kehr taught as Full Professor of Management at Macquarie University , Sydney until he was appointed to the Technical University of Munich in 2006. Kehr is a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and a former Heisenberg fellow .
Teaching and Research
Kehr teaches, researches and works in the field of motivational psychology with application in leadership . In particular, he examined the interplay of unconscious (implicit) and self-assessed (explicit) motives, as well as subjective abilities, and developed what he called the 3K model (three-component model) to illustrate this . In his work this forms a basis for analysis, explanation and the search for solutions.
