Hugo Rimmelspacher (born January 22, 1906 in Forchheim (Rheinstetten) , † November 6, 1986 in Ettlingen ) was a German politician ( SPD ). He sat for his party as a member in the German Bundestag , in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg and was Lord Mayor of the city of Ettlingen.

Life

The trained locksmith Rimmelspacher joined the socialist youth workers in 1920 and became a member of the SPD. Later he attended the state mechanical engineering school in Karlsruhe, which he finished as an engineer. From 1927 to 1948 he worked as a plant manager and technical manager in machine tool construction.

From 1950 to 1952 he was a member of the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden and from 1952 to 1956 a member of the state constituent assembly and the Baden-Württemberg state parliament. In 1960 he moved over the state list of Baden-Württemberg as a member of the third Bundestag for Dr. Ludwig Ratzel after. There he was a member of the Economic Committee and the Committee on Nuclear Energy and Water Management .

He was mayor from 1948 and from 1966 mayor of Ettlingen. The Hugo-Rimmelspacher-Platz in Ettlingen was named after him. He has a grave of honor in the main cemetery in Ettlingen.
