Hugo Scherbaum

Hugo Scherbaum (born December 28, 1872 in Gossengrün , Bohemia ; † April 12, 1947 in Zell an der Ybbs ) was an Austrian politician ( GDVP ), secondary school teacher and school director. Scherbaum was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1921 to 1932 .

Career

Scherbaum, born as the son of Gossengrün master mason and carpenter Josef Scherbaum and Eva, nee. Maier (a manufacturer's daughter from Neukirchen ) graduated from the Technical University in Prague and Brno and subsequently worked for a construction company. In 1897 he entered the technical school service in Fulpmes and from 1906 worked at the technical school for the iron and steel industry in Waidhofen an der Ybbs. The school was enlarged in 1910 by merging four teaching establishments to form a technical school with additional business courses, with Scherbaum subsequently being the director of the school. Scherbaum was also the author of several specialist books and retired in 1934.

Schwerbaum represented the Greater German People's Party between May 11, 1921 and May 21, 1932 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.

In 1894 he became a member of the Teutonia Prague fraternity and in 1896 an honorary boy of the Libertas Brno fraternity .
