Huguette Gaulin

Huguette Gaulin ( 1944 - June 6, 1972 ) was a French-Canadian writer.

In 1972, the 28-year-old French-Canadian writer Huguette Gaulin Bergeron committed self-immolation on one of the main streets of the Old Port of Montreal and shouted in French : “Ne tuons pas la beauté du monde!”, Which roughly means: “We shouldn't see the beauty of the Kill (destroy) the world! ".

Luc Plamondon , a French-Canadian musician, wrote the hymn A La Beaute Du Monde in her honor . B. Diane Dufresne , Isabelle Boulay , Garou and Eric Lapointe .
