The Hunakubogropa ( Norwegian ; Japanese 舟 く ぼ 谷 Hunakubo-dani , German 'boat-shaped valley' ) is a more than 100 m deep depression of the Sør Rondane in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the northwestern part of the Gropeheia it is located on the east side of the Rundtuva .

Japanese scientists took aerial photographs between 1981 and 1982 and 1987. Surveys took place between 1987 and 1988. You named the valley descriptively in 1989. Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute translated the Japanese name into a partial translation into Norwegian in 1990.
