The Hundsbach is a left tributary of the Wondreb in the Bavarian part of the Kohlwald in the Fichtelgebirge .

Upper course

The Hundsbach has an upper course, the Mühlbach (Czech: Mlýnský potok ) which rises in the Czech part of the Kohlwald on Výhledy (German: Oberkunreuthberg ).

course

After a longer course at Pechtnersreuth , the Mühlbach unites with the Giesbach, which marks the border with the Czech Republic, briefly changes back to Czech territory and becomes Hundsbach when it re-enters Bavaria. This flows in a southerly direction and flows into the Wondreb near Hundsbach . From its unification until shortly before its underpassing of the federal highway 299 , it also runs along the border between Germany and the Czech Republic.

use

Mühlbach, Hundsbach and Giesbach are used economically by fishing (pond systems).
