Huoqiu
Huoqiu ( Chinese 霍邱 县 , Pinyin Huòqiū Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Lu'an (六安) in the west of the Chinese province of Anhui . The district has an area of 3,248 square kilometers, making it the second largest district in Anhui. In 2015 it had 1,702,200 inhabitants.
The residence of the Li family (Li shi zhuangyuan 李氏 gelegene) located in the county area is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China .
geography
The Heihe flows on the northern border of the district . In the district are the three lakes Chengdong Hu (城 东湖), Chengxi Hu (城 西湖) and Jiangjia Hu (mit Im) with a fresh water reserve of 1.1 billion cubic meters; as well as the Shuimentang (水 门,), a around 622 BC Chr. Created water reservoir.
economy
The district is home to 1240 square kilometers of arable land and 370 square kilometers of water. Huoqiu has the largest pig production in the province, an extensive aquaculture industry and large iron ore deposits. The county includes two inland ports: Heihe-Zhouji Port (淮河 周 集 港) and Qingfa Port (庆 发 港).
