The Husumer Mühlenau (or Husumer Au or simply Mühlenau ) is a stream that rises south of Oster-Ohrstedt and flows into the North Sea in Husum .

The Husumer Mühlenau belongs to the Eider river basin district .

Between Rosendahl and Mildstedt there is a nature experience room with a playground and a picnic area. Paths run along the Au to Rosendahl, through the forest and to a road in the east of the forest.

In Husum the Au passes under at 54 ° 28 '35 "  N , 9 ° 5' 3"  O the Husum bypass and then passes through the urban area for so-called "internal port". This is not a port for inland shipping , but the inner and older part of the Husum seaport , its exit the mouth of the flowing water into the North Sea.
