Hyżne is a village in the powiat Rzeszowski in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in Poland . It is the seat of the rural community of the same name with about 7000 inhabitants.

Hyżne is located 20 km southeast of Rzeszów .
history
The first written mention of Hyżne comes from 1436. In 1590 Katarzyna Wapowska founded a church on Mount Tatar. At the end of the seventeenth century it was replaced by a stone church. This was replaced by today's parish church from 1727 to 1739.
From 1975 to 1998 the village belonged to the Rzeszów Voivodeship .
