The GT 650i Naked is a naked bike from the South Korean motorcycle manufacturer Hyosung S&T Motors . It is part of a whole range of models based on the in-house engine in the 650 class.

Technical details

The motorcycle has been in the range since 2004. The version at that time had an output of 57  kW and showed a less harmonious power development, which also contributed to a relatively high consumption of around five liters per 100 km. The model was heavily revised for the first time in 2009. In addition to smaller and visual changes, the focus was primarily on improving the braking system, the effect of which had repeatedly been criticized, and the engine management. The construction is classic: an open double-tube frame made of steel carries a V-engine. A spring strut supports the box swingarm, which is also made of steel. The final drive takes place via a chain. The engine is an in-house development by Hyosung. However, it is strongly reminiscent of the design of the SV drive by the Japanese engine and motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki, with which the Koreans had a partnership for many years. The fuel is supplied via an injection system from our own production. The simple telescopic fork that was initially installed has now been replaced by an upside-down fork .

variants

All other variants emerged from the first independently sold motorcycle with the 650 engine, the GT650 Comet . The model name Comet was soon replaced by the motorcycle-typical N. Currently (as of 2016) there is also a variant called Pro that tends towards custom bikes .
