Iñaki Lafuente Sancha (born January 24, 1976 in Barakaldo ) is a Spanish football player who is currently without a club.
Lafuente's career at Athletic Bilbao began at the age of 18 . In the following five years, however, he could not prevail and played, among other things, one season each at Sestao SC and Elche CF as a loan player in order to develop further.
From 1999 to 2007 he came on well over 100 appearances for the Basque club Athletic Bilbao , until he was loaned out in exchange with Gorka Iraizoz to Espanyol Barcelona as the second keeper behind Carlos Kameni .
In summer 2008 he returned to his Basque homeland as the second goalkeeper. There he could not prevail and was awarded to Sporting Gijón in the second half of the 2008/09 season before he finally moved to CD Numancia in the summer of 2009 . He stayed there for two years before his expiring contract was not extended in the summer of 2011.
