Iúri Leitão (born July 3, 1998 in Viana do Castelo ) is a Portuguese cyclist who competes in races on the road and track .

Athletic career

In 2018 Iúri Leitão finished third in the Portuguese championship in scratch , and he won a stage of the Volta a Portugal do Futuro . At the national U23 road championship, he finished eighth. The following year, he and Wilson Esperanca finished third in the national championship in two-man team driving , and in the U23 time trial on the road, he was fifth. He also started in the U23 road race in the Road European Championships , but which he did not finish.

In 2020 Leitão took tenth place in the overall ranking of the Track Cycling World Cup in scratch. He became Portuguese champion in scratch and took second place in the single pursuit and in the points race .

In 2020 Leitão was nominated to take part in the World Railroad Championships in Berlin .
