The following lists document the beauty contests for women in Germany in addition to the oldest and most established contest for Miss Germany . Of these, Miss Germany has a certain international significance. Its organizer had a Miss Universe license until 2006 and one to Miss World since then . The other events are only listed to convey the confusion of the situation. Complete data is missing.
The organizer is the MGO committee Miss Germany based in Bergheim near Cologne.
The company operated as the Miss Germany Association (MGA) until 1999 , then became the Miss Germany Organization (MGO) and also organized corresponding competitions. It has had its current name since 2000.
The winners for 2000 to 2007 were selected from 16 national and 4 regional winners at the beginning of each year. Miss Germany 2008 was chosen at the end of September 2007, for the first time from 14 candidates cast in different cities .
The first competition took place at the end of 1999 under the title Miss Germany , but had to be renamed later due to an objection by the MGC . At the same event in Wiesbaden, the Model of Germany Productions organizing committee from Stuttgart elected Anja Schröder, who was running for Lower Saxony, as Model of Germany 2000 , while Miss Germany Sonja Strobl later as Model of the Year 1999 (even later as Model of the Year 2000 ) was designated.
From 2000, the agency chose the Model of Germany exclusively . The winners temporarily took part in the Model of the World .
Determination of candidates for Miss World and Miss Universe

The first two competitions were occasionally carried out by the MGC from Oldenburg in order to determine its participant in the Miss World . This approach met with a general lack of understanding, especially since the actual Miss Germany of the MGC was devalued. The organization later delegated a Miss Germany finalist.
Susan Hoecke was named Miss World Germany 2000 by the MGC , but took part in the 1999 Miss World election.
Miss World Germany has been elected by the MGO Committee Miss Germany since 2008.
Germany's Miss Universe, Miss Galaxy and Miss Universe Germany
The competition has been carried out since 2007 and 2008 by the Germany's MISS UNIVERSE agency from Berlin (P.O. Box address) in order to identify a German participant in the Miss Universe . 50 women were cast in ten large cities . These took part in a preliminary round, 34 of which made it to the final round in Bremen, where first the top 12 and then the winners (places 1 to 3) were determined.
Angelina Glass later gave back the title, and second-placed Alexandra Kuszlik moved up.
At the beginning of 2009, the agency and competition were renamed Miss Galaxy .
In 2009 Miss Universe Germany - owned by Miss Universe Nederland 2002, Kim Kötter - acquired the license to participate in Miss Universe.
In 2010 the competition was carried out by Miss Germany Corporation and Miss Universe Nederland - Kim Kötter .
This title was awarded alternately from 1999 to 2006 by Miss Germany Corporation (MGC) in Oldenburg and by QGE - Queen of Germany Entertainment in Neuhardenberg (Brandenburg), before QGE registered it as a trademark at the European Trademark Office in Alicante (Spain) in 2005 . It was awarded for the first time by the MGC in 1999 to Julienne Grötsch, who was later recognized by the QGE and named 1st Queen of Germany .
The winners took part in the Queen of the World from the late 1990s. (In 1996 Miss Germany Yasemin Mansoor won this competition ). Therefore, the title was occasionally called Queen of the World Germany .
From 2006 to July 2007, Schalk Production in Magdeburg owned the license for the Queen of the World Germany competition and the concession to participate in the Queen of the World. In November 2006, Katrin Schwarz was elected Queen of the World Germany 2007 .
After Schalk Production returned its Queen of the World concession , Miss Germany's third party, Katie Steiner, took part in this international competition at the end of 2007.
The 2000 competition was organized by MGC and initially took place under the title Queen of Germany , but was renamed Beauty Queen of Germany shortly before the election due to objection from the QGE .
Nadine Trompka was chosen by the B-QOG management (according to her sash label), which can be translated as Beauty Queen of Germany Management .
Miss Millennium Germany was elected for 2000 by the MGF - Miss Germany Foundation based in Barby (Saxony-Anhalt).
The Princess Entertainment & Media Group (also Barby, Saxony-Anhalt) is the successor organization to MGF. This has been renamed because the name Miss Germany can no longer be used. At the beginning of 2000 she acquired the rights for the word marks Princess and Princess of Germany from the German patent u. Trademark Office acquired. The final elections have so far always taken place in the new federal states , but have not been verifiable since 2005.
In 2007, Schalk Production in Magdeburg acquired the rights to elect the Princess of Germany from the previous license holder C. Ries , but had to give them back in spring 2008.
Mirjana Bogojevic was also elected Miss Germany of the MGC in 2001.

The Top Model of Germany competition is organized from 1993 to 2000 by the MGA - Miss Germany Association based in Bergheim near Cologne and its successors ( MGO - Miss Germany Organization or MGO - Miss Germany Committee ). The winners take part in the Top Model of the World .
In 2001, however, the Yet-Set Corporation in Cologne claimed title protection with reference to Section 5 (3) of the Trademark Act. She is likely to run the competition until 2003. (At least one Top Model of Bavaria has been handed down for the year , which should take part in the Top Model of Germany ). A license to participate in the Top Model of the World has Yet Set not however.
The MGO - Committee Miss Germany sent at this time Miss-Germany-finalists for the Top Model of the World and carried out in 2005 and 2007 again a corresponding German competition.
According to the company, the competition has been organized by Oliver B. Modelmanagement (Oliver Burghart, Stuttgart) since 2000 . The years correspond to those given on the official website. In other sources, however, Stephanie Thier is referred to as Model of the World Germany 2004 and Hana Nitsche as Model of the World Germany 2006 . The latter also reached 3rd place in the second season of Germany's Next Topmodel .
The winners take part in the Model of the World or Model of the Universe . (These competitions are run by the Miss Tourism World organization.)
Miss Allemagne
In 2001, the Yet-Set Corporation in Cologne claimed title protection for this competition as well . There are contradicting information about the winners: In 2001 both Jennifer Dietrich and Eileen Bali were named, in 2003 the election took place in Kiel (winner unknown). The competition does not seem to have taken place since then.
Miss 50plus Germany
The beauty contest for women aged 50 and over has been organized by Miss Germany Corporation and rtv since 2012 .
In 2017, a candidate had to be at least 50 years old at the time of the finals, had to fill out an application form two months in advance and add a portrait and a full-body photo. The top 60 candidates were invited to a casting and 20 of them were selected for the final. The prizes for the winner were a seven-day trip abroad, a box spring bed , a weekend in a five-star hotel, etc.
She resigned the day after her election to Miss World. Her boyfriend allegedly objected to her new engagements, but it is more likely that there were nude photos of her.
Not all of the participants listed here bore the title Miss Germany : Finalists of various competitions (including Miss Germany , for example ) were delegated.
In the 1950s and 1960s, for example, the winners of the Miss Germany competition were only exceptional candidates for the Miss World . At Miss World Petra Schürmann there are two different reasons why she took part in third place: According to the more frequently published one, she had better knowledge of English and was therefore sent to London by the Miss Germany organizer. According to a less frequently mentioned version, the first (Marina Orschel) fell ill, while the second was still a minor and had not received her parents' consent. These justifications may have been added. In fact, during the period mentioned, the Miss Germany winners regularly took part in Miss Universe , occasionally in Miss Europe , but rarely in Miss World.
As far as is known, the placement in the respective international competition is given in brackets after the name : One number means the place, SF = semi-finalist. (N. N. = there was a German participant, but her name has not been passed down).
Queen of the World: Most of the competitions took place at the end of the specified year, but the one for 2001 not until early 2002; hence the official reading 2001/02. The 1990 event was probably the only international beauty contest in which two German candidates took part: Miss Germany and Miss DDR.
Miss Globe: Missing years are incompletely documented. The competition took place, but not all participants are known. Since 2010 there have been two competitions with this name, a Turkish (held in Northern Cyprus) and an Albanian. The candidates listed in the list from 2011 took part in the competition in Albania, which Stephanie Alice even won.
Miss Earth has been held in the Philippines since 2001 and has increased the number of its participants from 42 to 95 by 2011.
Miss Tourism Queen International has been taking place annually in the People's Republic of China since 2004 and by 2011 was able to increase the number of its participants from 55 to 92 (in 2008 it was even 113).
Miss Europe: Events that bordered on a failed competition were given a double year number, for example 1991 Miss Europe 1990/91 . Miss Europe last took place in 2006.
Miss Baltic Sea: In this competition, the event took place in the autumn before the year of office : Miss Baltic Sea 1996 was already elected in 1995, etc. From the end of 2006 it was called Miss Baltic Sea and Scandinavia and was only held twice.
Miss Maja: The competition took place from 1966 to 1991 under the name Miss Maja International and was carried out as Miss Maja World in 1995 and 2004/2005 . The hosts were mostly Spanish-speaking countries.
Miss Nations: The Miss United Nations (1963), Miss Nations (1964 and 1981) and Miss All Nations (1989/1990) competitions are listed under this collective name . The first two mentioned were carried out by the former Miss Europe organizer MEO , the third just happened to have a similar name.
Queen of Europe was the short-lived name of a competition to Miss Europe , which mostly took place under different names.
The Miss Flower Queen competition took place only once - in 1990.
For Miss American Dream , there is no evidence that this event took place before or after the 1995th A competition with the same name (for different age groups) introduced in 2006 is only open to participants from the USA.
