Renate Hoy
Renate Hoy (actually Renate Anita Huy , born December 31, 1930 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German beauty queen and actress of the 1950s.
Life
In 1952, she was in Baden-Baden for Miss Germany voted and adopted in the summer of the same year in the election for Miss Universe , where she reached the final (5th place).
She then stayed in the United States, signed a film deal with Universal Film Studios, and made several films. She married actor Brett Halsey in the 1950s , with whom she had two children: Rock Halsey and Tracy Leigh Simpson. On February 26, 1960, she became an American citizen. After their divorce, Renate Hoy married a prominent Long Beach attorney, Raymond C. Simpson, who specialized in indigenous civil rights. The couple had one child, Richard James Simpson.
Renate Simpson lives in Southern California.
