Vera Marks

Vera Marks (* 1933 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German beauty queen and actress in the early 1950s.

Life

On August 5, 1951, the 18-year-old senior citizen from Frankfurt, former Miss Bodensee , was voted Miss Germany with 302 of 768 votes from the audience in the Baden-Baden Kurhaus .

After the election, she gave up school and, from October 1951, went on an advertising and PR tour of the Middle East with other beauty queens ( Miss France, Miss Paris, Miss North Africa ) . In the same year, the head of advertising for the event Miss Germany Georg Basner , as a director at Rees-Film in Schwäbisch Gmünd , finished the documentaries Große Woche and Miss Germany about Vera Marks.

In 1952 she took part in the Miss World election as the German representative and reached third place.
